Leo Birth Story

Baby boy was born on October 10, 2018

October 9, 2018 I went to the doctor and I told the nurse "I am ready for the baby to come out. Is there anything we can do to make it happen. I was already 4cm dilated and nothing was happening - no contractions, no water breaking, N O T H I N G! It was a bit overwhelming and it was then when she sugguested to "strip my membrane" I was sold with the idea so we went ahead and did it. 

By 4:30 am I woke up with some pretty intense contractions. I immediately told Daniel, took a shower, got Lucas ready & out the door we were. We arrived at the hospital at 6:00am and I was already 7cm dilated and contractions were 5 minutes apart. 

At around 9am I finally got the magical epidural - bless the heart of however invented that - and all my dreams came true haha!  I pushed for about an hour and at 10:33 am Leonardo Daniel made his grand entrance.

9.5lbs | 21 inches

We decided to have Lucas with us in the room so he got to see his big brother be born and I honestly love that he will have that memory - aside from the "UGH" remark he made after seen Leo covered in blood hahaha! Gotta love that boy. 

He looked just like his older brother - full of hair and simply beautiful. He was so calm and didnt fuss at all. He was truly amazing. We were at the hospital only for two days and we got to bring his adorable self to our home.
