Back in 2020 we decided it was time to finally sell our home in Texas. It took a while for it to be sold but by January we were fortunate enough to have found a buyer. As time went on we decided to start looking in Arizona. Little did we know how insane the market is. Every house we saw was sold within a day or two. Constantly getting outbid because people were offering $30-$80k over the asking price. New builds had a wait list of over 30+ people and only 3-5 lots were released every month by lottery. It was honestly so overwhelming and tiring. After much consideration we simply decided to wait in hopes that the market would slow down by the end of the year.
We also had to move out from our current apt due to the complex remodeling old models. We decided to rent in the same location and wait for the right time. Since we were moving to a new apt we wanted to purchase a new bed. On our drive to the furniture store we took a detour & decided to see some new builds. To our surprise there was no wait list (the sales agent mentioned that the prior week they had released all lots to all 30 families that were waiting so we were good to go), a wonderful lot with no back neighbors, and an excellent location. It worked out for us. We met with the sales team, went to the design center and picked the interior designed we wanted and today we met with the construction manager. To say that we are excited would be an understatement. We are thrilled and so excited to be able to build a home again and for the kids to have a place of their own.
Can't wait to see the progress as things move along.
